About Citizens Repair
Things I do…
As a general rule of thumb, I work on any amp head or combo or speaker cabinet. I can do pedals too so long as the issue isn't digital. I'm not currently working on keyboards for the simple reason of storage. My shop is my home and I just don't have anywhere big enough to put them. I can do some pro audio gear, again depending mostly on size. If you have something that needs fixing and you're not sure, just ask. If it's not something that I handle chances are good that I can recommend someone who does.
My service rate is $45 per hour plus parts. I don't charge a deposit or have a diagnostic fee. If I don't fix it, I don't charge you. I also don't charge a rush fee. Every item I work on I do as fast as I safely can, and no amount of extra money is ever going to make the parts you need magically ship faster.
If you have a deadline let me know up front, and we can work together to make it happen.
Things about me…
In some way, shape or form I've been involved in the music scene since I was two years old. I remember disco. I remember the year punk broke...the first time. I've been a touring bass player, a live sound engineer, a repair tech and a Seattle venue owner. I've performed, engineered or been a roadie at everything from small coffee shops to small arenas.
The one constant through all of my experiences regardless of the job? Things will break. They will break badly, and they will break at the worst possible time.
Having your gear fixed should be easy part. The repair shop should be the light at the end of the tunnel. You already went through the heartbreak of watching your vintage treasure go up in smoke onstage. It's my job to get you up and running again as quickly and painlessly as possible.
